QUALIFICATIONS - JOE R. PRICE, MAI, SRA, CRE
Joe Price has been active in real estate since 1954. He co-founded Callaway & Price, Inc., a national real estate appraising and consulting firm, in 1972.Joe holds the MAI designation, the highest commercial designation awarded by the Appraisal Institute. He also holds the SRA designation, the highest residential designation awarded by the Appraisal Institute, and the CRE designation awarded by the American Society of Real Estate Counselors. He is a registered real estate broker, State of Florida, and a Florida State-Certified General Appraiser (Certificate #RZ555).
His real estate appraising and consulting expertise includes, but is not limited to, historic properties; industrial; commercial; shopping centers; condominium projects; subdivisions; golf course communities; landmark properties; and vacant land. He is qualified as an Expert Witness in Duval, Martin, Palm Beach, Broward and Dade Counties in Florida, as well as courts in New Jersey, California and Wisconsin.
Joe is an Appraisal Institute approved instructor and is rated by his students as one of the top instructors in the nation. He has been teaching real estate appraisal courses and seminars throughout the United States for more than 20 years. He has also authored and coauthored several published articles dealing with the appraisal and value impact of highly specialized properties.
He attended North Georgia University and the University of Florida, and has completed numerous courses with the Appraisal Institute and its forerunners, the American Institute of Real Estate Appraisers and the Society of Real Estate Appraisers.
Joe's professional affiliations include the Appraisal Institute, the American Society of Real Estate Counselors, American Arbitration Association, and National Association of Realtors. He is a past president of Palm Beach Chapter #200 of the Society of Real Estate Appraisers and South Florida Chapter #24 of the American Institute of Real Estate Appraisers. Joe was a member of the American lnstitute's Governing Council from 1987 through 1989. He was also on the Appraisal Institute's Board of Directors in 1991 and 1992, and served as Region X (Florida-Caribbean) Chairman.
Over the years, Joe has earned several awards from the American Institute of Real Estate Appraisers and the Society of Real Estate Appraisers for his dedication and hard work in the advancement of the appraisal profession.
